Setting up a Chore Chart

To set up a chore, first decide what day you want to begin.  If the day you want to start from is before today's date, you will do a Late Check In.

  • A Late Check In takes you back in time.  It is just as if you were on that day.  Either enter the date directly in the Late CheckIn text area (to the left of the button) or click on the calendar icon.  This will popup a calendar from which you can chose the date.  Once the proper date is in the text area, click on the Late CheckIn button.
  • To start from today click on the Today's Chore Chart link.

You should now be viewing a Screen that looks like the following:

Set Up Chore ChartNotice:

  • The title is a link back to the main menu
  • The Chore Goal, Celebration and Ante are links.  These links popup editors.
  • The current week and day is listed.  This is especially important for a Late Check In. There is also a button or buttons to take back or forwards one day.
  • There is a place where you can insert lines.  This is where you will put new chores.
  • The days go from Monday to Monday.  This is so Bonus Chores can be assigned on the next Monday
  • The day of the week is highlighted in Red.  The following day (for assigning bonus chores) is highlighted in green.
  • At the bottom is an Update button.  When everything is checked off, click on this to update the score.
